Tony Curtis

Tony Curtis

In this podcast, I chat with Tony Curtis, a lifelong friend from Lytham St Annes High School and we find out what led us both to become DJ's in different fields. Tony in the Nightclub Industry and I went down the Radio Presenting route.

So much has happened since the late 70's when we both got the bug for DJing and it's time to learn more about Tony and how his job blossomed over an extensive career.

This led him to become a manager in one of the biggest entertainment companies in the UK and Europe.

Nowadays, you can catch him on Roadhouse Radio on a Sunday evening show 'In Bed with TC' from 8-10 pm (GMT) https://www.radioroadhouseuk.com

Dave Phillips

Dave Philips

Radio Presenter Dave Phillips has been a stalwart of the airwaves for over five decades! His journey in broadcasting began, like many of his peers, in the world of hospital radio.

Dave launched his radio career with a Saturday Morning Show at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral. In the 1990s, he transitioned to commercial radio, gracing the airwaves of stations in Liverpool, Wrexham, Birkenhead, Colwyn Bay, Bangor, Lancaster, and Prescot. In 2004, he found a new home at Chester’s Dee Radio.

Remarkably, Dave balanced his radio career with a full-time job as a secondary school Maths teacher, a feat that left little time for sleep!

Currently, Dave hosts the Sunday Daytime Show on Dee Radio https://www.dee1063.com from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each week. One of the highlights of his show is the popular Sixty-Second Challenge, a weekly music quiz where two listeners compete to showcase their knowledge of popular music from the past fifty years.
